Wear a Mask:
- Wear a mask with two or more layers to help protect yourself and others from COVID-19.
 - Wear the mask so that it covers your nose and mouth, and secure it under your chin.
 - Make sure the mask fits snugly against the sides of your face.

Maintain Physical Distance:
- Maintain a distance of at least 6 feet from other people who do not live with you.
 - Remember that people without symptoms can spread COVID-19 or influenza.
 - Maintaining a distance of 6 feet (about 2 arm’s length) from others is especially important for people who are at higher risk for severe illness.

Wash Your Hands:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
 - Have hand sanitizer available and use it when handwashing is not possible.
 - Use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

Attend a Meeting:
- Celebrating virtually or with the people you live with is the safest option as the holidays begin.
 - If you choose to attend a gathering, take these additional steps to make your celebration safer:
- Bring your own food, drinks, plates, glasses, and utensils.
 - Wear a mask and store it safely while eating and drinking.
 - Avoid entering and exiting areas where food is prepared or handled, such as the kitchen.
 - Use single-use options, such as individual salad dressings and condiments, and disposable items, such as food containers, plates, and utensils.

Organizing a Meeting is Not Recommended:
- It’s not recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but if you’re hosting guests at your home, ensure the following safety measures:
- Host a small cookout with family and friends who live in your community.
 - Limit the number of guests.
 - Talk to guests in advance to set expectations for celebrating together.
 - Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and items after each use.
 - If the celebration is indoors, let in fresh air by opening doors and windows, if possible. Use a window fan to expel indoor air and bring in fresh air.
 - Limit the number of people in areas where food is prepared.
 - Have guests bring their own food and drinks.
 - If sharing food, assign one person to serve it and use disposable options like plastic utensils.
